Natural Resource Management for Sustainable Livelihoods.

We encourage environment-friendly and sustainable approaches to preserve the environment and ensure food security:

PRAKRUTHI advocates gender justice and women's leadership through:

  • Revival and promotion of traditional local health practices and customs

  • Promoting alternative medicines for enhanced well-being

  • Organizing awareness and prevention camps for HIV/AIDS

  • Developing and fostering Village Health Committees as Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)

Institution Building & Capacity Building of CBOs

We strengthen grassroots governance by promoting and nurturing CBOs like:

  • Tank Management Institutions (TMIs).

  • Water User Groups (WUGs).

  • Sujala Watershed Society (SWS).

  • Village Forest Committees (VFCs).

  • School Development & Management Committees (SDMCs).

  • Village Water Supply & Sanitary Committees (VWSSCs).

  • Self Help Groups (SHGs) and their federations.

Strengthening Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs)

Focused on local governance and democratic participation:

  • Facilitating Self-Governing Councils (SGCs) in villages.

  • Integrating CBOs with SGCs for cohesive development.

  • Motivating women’s participation in Grama Sabhas and Ward Sabhas.

  • Promoting Nyaya Panchayathi Samithis (Justice Committees) for conflict. resolution.

  • Providing leadership development training for effective local governance.
